Get caught up on last night's Revolution with these five highlightsNBC’s hit series “Revolution” is back! After about a four month hiatus, the post-apocalyptic type show is again gracing TV’s across the nation, and isn’t holding back on the drama, action, mystery and tears. Each week, we will provide five highlights from the show to keep viewers in the loop. Here’s what happened this week.

Last night’s “Revolution” episode titled “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” finally revealed what Rachel took out of Danny’s body, and even had some “magically charred bodies” appear. Spoilers are ahead, so read at your own risk.

1. Monroe didn’t hesitate to show his power at the beginning of last night’s episode. One of his men revealed that Neville and Julia left town in the middle of the night, and that their son, Jason, is still alive. Well, Monroe didn’t take that lightly, and killed the soldier who was quite chummy with Neville.

2. Miles, Charlie and Nora head to Georgia aka The Georgia Federation to stop Monroe from launching a nuclear weapon. On their way into Georgia, Miles finds a knife and realizes one of the men he trained named Alec (Dayo Okeniyi) is in charge of the nuke. The knife used to belong to the Matheson family, but Miles gave it to Alec as “good luck.” He reminisces about Alec and we see the two were good friends and had a father-son type of relationship. Eventually, they find Alec, but they don’t capture him or the nuke, and Miles is taken by guards and delivered to the Georgia president, Kelly (Leslie Hope).

3. Rachel and Aaron continue on their journey to The Tower in Colorado, but first they make a stop at a friend of Rachel’s named Jane (Kate Burton). Before they even get to her house, Aaron and Rachel are attacked by soldiers, but luckily Jane shows up and burns the men like vampires in the sun. Aaron describes them as “magically charred bodies.” It was insane and disturbing. Anyway, Rachel is seeking out information about The Tower from Jane. We finally learn about the blinking capsule Rachel pulled out of Danny’s body. It’s called a “nanite.” Apparently, these nanites are responsible for turning off the power, but can also heal people from illnesses and diseases. That’s exactly why Danny had one, because he was sick as a little boy. Jane’s partner is also suffering from cancer, but for 16 years she has survived thanks to the nanites eating away her tumors. Jane doesn’t want Rachel to destroy them, because if she does then her partner will die. Rachel needs to destroy them to get the power back on. After some persuasion by her partner, Jane gives Rachel a book about the nanites and The Tower.

4. While Charlie and Nora are trying to figure out a way to rescue Miles, Charlie runs into Alec. He tells her Miles doesn’t care about anyone and that Charlie needs to ask Miles about what her uncle did to Rachel. While this is going on, Miles comes face-to-face with Kelly (they appear to know one another). She let’s him go, but only so he can stop Alec from detonating the nuke. Miles ends up stopping Alec, and killing him. Before he kills him, the audience finds out what went awry between the two. It seems a mission went badly for Alec, so as a punishment and so the Monroe Republic didn’t go to war with Texas, Miles handed Alec over to Texas. He coldly tells Alec “it’s part of the job.” Alec was most likely tortured by the state. Alec’s death affects Miles greatly. Charlie approaches Miles about what Alec told her and says she wants the truth about what happened with her mom. Miles cryptically tells her people count on him and they get hurt, because he hurts them and he doesn’t think twice about it.

5. After the success of stopping the nuke, Kelly isn’t happy with Miles because he removed the radioactive materials from the nuke so Georgia can’t build a nuke. Even though she’s angry, Kelly asks Miles for help. She tells him her men are going to hit Monroe from his southern border, and wants Miles and his rebels to attack from inside to open up a second front. Miles is skeptic, because he doesn’t have enough men or weapons. Well, Kelly will provide him with hundreds of men and thousands of weapons. The episode ends with Kelly asking Miles if he’s ready to be a general again.
